Creative Writing Camp

This camp is for creative writers of all kinds. We will play with prose, poetry, fiction and memoir. We will work independently and in small groups and/or with partners.

Writers will spend time outside writing as the weather permits and we will plan one day to write at Penn State Arboretum. We love to explore campus and downtown locations for nature, art, and culture-inspired writing. This camp is for young women and non-binary identifying writers ages 12+ with an interest in writing.

July 20-24th from 1:00-3:30 p.m.

Note that there is a sewing camp for teens 9AM-12PM if your teen would like to spend a full day of camp at The Makery. Campers would bring their lunch.
